Fantastic article by the Law and Justice Foundation of New South Wales published in 2014 regarding a concept known as “legal capability“.
What are the factors that stop people from seeking legal help? Main factors identified were:
Didn’t know what to do,
thought it would be too stressful and
thought it would cost too much.
These mental blocks, which cause a ‘paralysing’ effect, are preventing people from seeking legal help for even substantial legal problems. Don’t let yourself fall into this trap.
